Tara Becker School of Dance

2020 End Of Year Show

Illawarra Performing Arts Centre

6th December 2020

DATES/TIMES

Change to ticket purchasing: Due to software issues, our tickets won’t be released for sale tomorrow.  Our new date is TUESDAY 24TH Nov at 10am. The IPAC is moving to new software that will allow you to choose your seats at the time of purchase while still ensuring social distancing. They (and I) apologise for any inconvenience. More information to come.

Tickets available for purchase from Illawarra Performing Arts Centre http://www.merrigong.com.au/whats-on/ Or call 4224 5999. Our show won’t appear on their website until the morning of the on-sale date at 10am.

  • $40 per person (flat rate for adults, children, pensioners etc)
  • 4 tickets maximum per family (not per students performing)
  • We are requesting your cooperation in adhering to the 4 tickets per family rule. We have set a 4 ticket cap on the website for each transaction, however there is no way for us to check if you order another 4 tickets in a separate transaction. We ask for your honesty and refrain from doing so. We want all our students to have someone in the audience cheering them on.

Important Safety Information from the IPAC

We are committed to delivering safe & enjoyable performing arts experiences.

We are operating under guidelines from NSW Health, and this means some changes to how we do things.
These include:

  • Reduced audience capacities
  • Patrons’ seats separated from other groups by 1 – 2 empty seats either side
  • Increased distance between performers and the audience
  • Additional cleaning of theatres and disinfecting of foyer touch-points before, during and after performances
  • Hand sanitising stations throughout our venues.
  • Allocated seating and collection of patron contact details
  • Assisting patrons to maintain appropriate physical distancing throughout our venues.

When you visit, it is really important that you are feeling well, and prepared to adhere to the safety practices of our venues. If you’re unwell, please stay home and contact us about refund and exchange options.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep everyone safe, so that we can continue to bring great experiences to our community and #KeepLiveAlive.

Further information

IPAC does not have a designated drop off zone. It is recommended that parents park in one of the nearby carparks and walk to IPAC. It is not recommended to drop students off in Town Hall place due to the high frequency of traffic and limited turning space.

This year student access is via the Bruce Gordon Theatre. There will be a check in station located at the doors to the theatre for students to be dropped off before making their way to their designated dressing room space.

Drop off times will be staggered where possible to avoid congestion and unnecessary gatherings.

This year we will have strict limits on parent helpers that must be registered with the IPAC. If you are interested in helping please comment on the post (in the TBSOD member FB group) titled ‘Parent helpers for the shows’ with your child’s full name and what show you are available for (morning or afternoon). We will confirm by early next week if you will be needed. Only parents willing to supervise a group will be able to help backstage.

Once Upon A Dance

Miss Sophie will be in charge of the OUAD students. The students will be put into groups of 3-4 to be supervised. We will only require 5 parents backstage for this and will utilise teachers to provide additional support to the students.

Students will be allocated to the following dressing rooms:

Dressing room 1

Dressing room 2

Dressing room 3

Dressing room 4

Dressing room 5

Dressing room 6

Dressing room 7

Dressing room 8
